“Literally go through any other company as Oracle are shady as hell, unresponsive and will only give you any possible excuse as to why your house isn't getting built. We even got blamed for our house not being built within the timeframe listed in our contract. Unsure how trades not being paid for Oracles other jobs is our fault... Oracle are on the brink of liquidation.”

“Worst experience of our lives. - Signed contract March 2021 (sales lady was amazing) - Slab poured September 2021 - Frame to be delivered 1st Dec 2021 (delayed) - Frame to be delivered 10th Jan 2022 (delayed) - Frame to be delivered 18th Feb 2022 (delayed) - Frame finally delivered 28th March 2022... This was meant to be Practical Completion date - Roof, Sarking, Electrical/Plumbing Rough in completed April 2022 .... Nothing happened until..... - Windows delivered June 2022 .... Nothing happened since, nothing else booked in, no one can tell me anything. I've found them trades but still nothing booked in. It is beyond a joke and so bloody stressful and depressing driving past our block and seeing other people living in their houses when they had slab the same time as us.”

“Signing with this company has been nothing but stressful and distressing. Contract signed, same week another contract issued asking for a significant amount of extra money. After months of lies and poor communication from the Toronto and Cooronbong offices and after promising our deposit back, we have now resorted to the help from Fair Trading and now The Tribunal. READ THEIR REVIEWS BEFORE SIGNING WITH THIS COMPANY. WATCH THE CURRENT AFFAIR STORY DONE ON THEM. Sadly we are not the only ones having huge issues with them. This company has absolutely zero integrity and needs to be closed and own up to their responsibilities and stop taking peoples hard earned money.”

“I have been dealing with Oracle for 5 years since the house was “completed”. I recently spent 12 months having Oracle rebuild my kitchen and bathroom due to structural damage from multiple water leaks caused by negligence during the build. It has cost me my mental and physical health and I now have PTSD from their psychological abuse and gaslighting. The staff were appallingly rude every step of the way and it has been a living nightmare. Oracle now refuse to complete the job claiming it is wear and tear. It is not wear and tear, it is appalling workmanship. They have recently defamed a former member of their staff who tried to be helpful claiming they did not know what he was doing. Do not use this company.”

“Dealing with Oracle Platinum Homes has had a detrimental effect on my mental AND physical health. Would not wish this kind of stress on my worst enemy. *****EDIT TO RESPOND TO ORACLE***** Hi Oracle, please don't pretend to give a damn just because the public can see my review! I have been in constant communication with you since February, trying to get help with your outrageous price increase and massive staff errors, and all I have received in return is PATHETIC, RUDE, DISMISSIVE & CONDESCENDING responses from the 'customer service officers' AND the director. Don't pretend here or I will post evidence everywhere :)”

“Building still not finished after 18 months. Trades walking of site because they ae not paid. External walls not completed prior to fitout internally so that internal linings ae exposed to weather and have had water damage following recent rain and unilateral decisions and variations to time and now a request for $40k extra on a fixed price contract. Simply not delivering on their contractual responsibilities. Run, don't walk, away from these guys. Thanks for the meaningless response Oracle. You have no contractual grounds for your performance and holding young financially vulnerable people to ransome to protect your financially well off owner is morally corrupt. While there have no doubt been issues for builders to navigate during covid, I remind you that we have a fixed price agreement. You seek more money without justification. Can you please address the following: * What have you done to manage the pricing in your supply chain? * What have you done to diversify your income steam in order to limit the amount you are asking me to pay? * Have all of your clients agreed to pay more? * How have you quantified the actual impact on each individual job to demonstrate/prove the impact to Oracle and that it was entirely not in your control. * How have I as your customer had eayly notification of this impact and opportunity to consider how it may impact me and prepare for that or make alternate arrangements? Your response is mere puffery and full of self interest.”

“Building a house with oracle wasn’t what they made out it would be, all smoke and mirrors and once they got your money it was hell, from lies to the construction “manager” laughing at you over the phone saying “oh well u should of done your research “ it’s hard when they delete all negative feed back… we ran 5 months over contract and they wouldn’t pay any damages, do your research and look up the building license, don’t build with them if you want transparency or a house built within contract time, can understand delays but we only had 28 days not 5 months… nothing will also get fixed like they said they will. fence is 200mm out in height, holes, leaking sinks, broken toilets… no point in paying someone to do defects they just pull tape off n said it’s fixed!!”

“4 weeks prior to my anticipated start date I get an email stating I have to pay an extra $35,000 in order for the build to go ahead. Everything on my behalf was done on time, 5% deposit paid, letter of commencement from the bank, proof of title, colours and tile selections done and council approvals. I understand this is a hard time for builders which is why I tried to negotiate, only to be told I would need to take out a whole list of inclusions, drive way, carpets, tiles to main floor area, air conditioning, blinds, fly screens, barrier doors, turf, garden bed, fencing, clothes line, letterbox. This wasn’t a negotiation, it was down right disgusting and offensive. They have also verbally asked me to cancel my contract, but oh you won’t get your 5% deposit back. This is the rudest and most unethical company I have ever had to deal with. I will continue to fight this as this is illegal according to my solicitor whom I trust. Don’t sign anything with this company, run away to a different builder would be my advice!!”

“I have built a number of homes during my time but watching my daughter go through the process with this builder makes me wonder how they are still in business. They are the most unprofessional, disorganised even inept lot I’ve ever come across. The build which isn’t actually fully completed as per contract yet has taken from July 2020 when she signed and put down a deposit to now, end of December 2021. To cap it off she had her practical completion meet some two weeks ago where she pointed out for her to live in the house requIres the fence to be completed, turf down and gate fixed with the balance of defects being completed in due course, to that end she paid for an independent building inspector who had over 50 pages of defects/repairs to be rectified. They keep chasing her for final payment and we drove down tonight to confirm the important things had been completed, but NO nothing further had been done. I would strongly recommend never using these guys and to seek a company with a much better record. Her journey with these guys was and is a nightmare please don’t fall in the same trap.”

“Worst experience of my life and the house isn't anywhere near complete.. Picked colours, tiles and bricks back in October 2020 and its now November 2021 and all we have is a frame, roof and windows. The slab took 4 months to get done because Oracle had fired the contractors after they did our piers. They obviously wouldn't come back to finish the slab and didn’t turn up 3 times but Oracle still didn't organize for someone else to finish the slab for over 2 months and then wanted us to sign a delay form because of 'covid supply issues' when they were the ones that fired the contractor. We then got told our frame was then delayed 2 weeks (which is fine) but we got sent a delay form to sign for 48 days and they couldn’t tell me why there was a difference. Our bricks were delayed even though we picked the brick colours over a year ago. Then last week we got told that they can not get the bricks laid because there are puddles of water 6 metres away from our house and the job is going to be delayed… there is absolutely no reason why the bricks can not be laid. Oracle have the most inadequate and incompetent supervision I have ever seen and are beyond full of excuses. What is the point of having a supervisor that does absolutely no supervising? Not one contractor has been organised on time and the place sits there for weeks with nothing happening. You can never get an update on if anything has been done or if anything has been organised. This has been an extremely disappointing and horrible experience and we are not even half way yet.”

“The site mangers and tradies are all good, however they are hamstrung by the worst back end and management team. This results in what should be a positive experience being terrible. The issues we encountered during our build: * The drafting team continually made unrequested changes to the plans when doing requested changes. We should have had 4 identical kids rooms, one is now smaller and does not have built in desks etc as requested. * Nothing the drafting team added was centered. We have cut outs, windows and even raised sealing sections that are not evenly spaced. * We built a house with granny flat. Oracle were "unaware" of the need for fireproof walls, so this was not allowed for and was an extra. Considering they have display homes with granny flats would have assume knew regulations. Also I needed to call council to get documentation to confirm could have granny flat for Oracle as there certifiers were "unsure". * Each step (sales, design, colour selection, office manager etc) said our questions/changes would be rectified by the next step and not a problem. Became a problem with the standard responce "If its not noted in the contract". Email communication was only thing that saved us, however main issue with a large media room cut out could not be rectified as frames are prefabed. * Drafting had our storm water incorrectly going to street (we are below street level) so changed osite to go to rear of property. This resulted in incorrect falls and flooding of our property. * No bedding material was used around pipes, despite being rock site. So ALL underground pipes punctured, deformed from day moved in. * Septic tank installed below ground height, causing system to flood when rains and to constantly blow fuses and pumps. * Screen doors not cut to correct size so would not close from handover. All these problems were raised at finalinspection/within days of handover (2/2020) and the site manager was going to get resolved however needs admin approval for rectification work over $500 however this was never received. Site manager left and issue was moved to Craig Ryan who was the post sales manager. Finally came out March 2021 (1 year later) and advised that: 1. We needed to rectify any issues as subsequent damage was not the responcibility or Oracle. 2. We needed a report from private plumbers we had gotten out to confirm damage to underground pipes before they would send anyone out. We did everything asked and no responce from Oracle for 3 months until declined liability for everything stating damage was from pool builders, retaining walls and 1001 other excuses which were all invalid as issues were raised PRIOR to that work being undertaken. We undertook $2500 having an additional riser installed on septic with their supplier (Taylex) and $14,000 cutting up driveways, replacing pipes and rectifying plumbing issues to stop water ingress above weep holes, to only find out this voided our QBCC case. Anyone considering building with Oracle I would be aware of the following: 1. Join the Facebook Group Building With Oracle (Unofficial) to see what is REALLY happening. 2. Read Oracles FB profile and the whole thing is about how you cant say anything bad. 3.Note that to provide a review here you NEED to provide paperwork to prove you are a real customer. You will see all the negative reviews are from people building and all the positive reviews are from QUOTE ONLY, which is easier for their marketing team to get in order to generate positive reviews. 4. You will see on the unofficial site the cash incentives people are offered for positive reviews.”

“We have been very impressed with the informative sales approach by Oracle. We have built before (another builder), however felt that this time the approach so far has been much more personal. Our consultant is super easy to deal and always has time for us. He helped us deposit on land (twice), and his insights have been invaluable. We will be documenting our full journey. J&J”

“We purchased unregistered land in August 2020, due to be registered in April 2021, and shopped around for our builder. We had our hearts set on a new home design by Oracle Platinum Homes, and after obtaining initial pricing, we decided to move forward with them. In September 2020, we paid a $500 deposit, advised both verbally and in writing by our sales consultant that it was 100% refundable until they began site works. This deposit was to “lock in” our quote and ensure we would not incur a price rise as new pricing was released, as we were not expecting to tender our contract until early 2021. Fast forward to February 2021; after months of dealing with an unresponsive sales consultant and no communication, we were advised that Oracle Platinum Homes would not be honouring the quoted price. We were advised our sales consultant had been released from the company due to poor performance and representation. We were told there had been too many price-rises since we paid our deposit, and it was no longer possible for them to honour it. We met with the sales consultant taking on our application and were advised that not only were we expected to pay the new pricing, but that the quote we had been issued had been incorrectly drafted. We had our dream home quoted again “correctly” and discovered a price rise in excess of $30,000. In a shattering moment, our dream home became unaffordable. We decided not to proceed with Oracle Platinum Homes and requested our initial $500 deposit returned. We were advised that the refund would be issued within 5-10 business days. This was now more than 30 business days ago and we still not have seen this refund from Oracle Platinum Homes. I have asked multiple times for confirmation of the refund request and have constantly been rebuffed with one liners such as, “I’m chasing it up for you.” The consultant has told me numerous times that he has no oversight on the finance team or their processes, and is not advised when a refund is sent. This is perfectly fine; however, I have asked the consultant for the details of someone that can help and have not been provided any. I have been given the Sales Manager’s information, whom I have also been advised would not see any of the refund information – so what good is it to me? I have phoned head office who have just sent the request back to the consultant, which also does not help. The Sales Manager was included in all of my correspondence with the sales consultant, and many times, I asked him directly to contact me. It took him weeks to respond, and by this point I had no further interest in dealing with him. I requested information for someone of seniority to speak to regarding the matter and was advised he was as high as I could go. Had he responded to my emails in a timely manner, I would have been happy to deal with him. But no longer. Not good enough Oracle Platinum Homes. They have blamed this whole situation the consultant we dealt with initially and their lack of communication. From where we sit, we wonder why (from the magnitude of their ineptitude as was hinted at by our second consultant) management failed to step in sooner. We wonder why the partner working in the same office didn’t report abnormalities or inconsistencies in their colleagues work sooner or pass on/action complaints when they were made. This as a whole, speaks to the ineptitude of the company, and in particular, the office based at Thornton Home World, NSW. I fail to see why this fault has been passed on to us, and why we should be suffering financially and emotionally from this. Our deposit, while only a small amount, would have been better in our account for the last 8 months, earning us interest and contributing towards our first home rather than sitting in the account of a company that seems to have no integrity or onus to follow through with their promises, nor any desire, it would seem, to present quality customer service. Their customer service is simply appalling, and I question their integrity as a business.”

“Hi I paid my deposit in mid Sept, I was advised it would give plenty of time to get in for grant $25k, allowing 15 weeks as would only be around 6 to 8 weeks. I have so far received nothing but excuses. I was told process to get drawings/estimate around 8 weeks and would be ready to sign well before Xmas. I have not seen a thing and nobody seems to be able to tell me anything? Not sure why there is no communication allowed and how after 14 weeks you would not have any answer .”

“Visited the display home at Pallara QLD and was approached by a male sales rep at the door to be told, I probably couldnt afford their homes. They discriminate on appearance and ethnicity. They did not ask me what my budget was or any details. If you want to visit make sure you dress like you can afford their homes. I would also point out on their website that they build to tailor to your budget and style which is misleading advertising and they should consider revising it. I would not recommend them.”
