“I will start with the positives - the tradesman were great, workman ship was good and work was completed correctly. However, after numerous phone calls numerous tradespeople never arrive to complete works with no correspondence. I was forced to stay home and miss work for numerous days with no workman ever arriving. I could have dealt with this is the customer service and payment teams were kind and empathetic to my situation. However, both myself and my fiance spoke to multiple RUDE and aggressive people on the phone when asking for some compensation for having to miss numerous days off work due to their errors. Their website states you will have hot water in one day or its free which I did not have and I was not asking for it to be free but for a fair amount of compensation. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life, I was in tears and the man on the end of the phone proceeded to yell at me. They eventually offered my $200 off (a $3200 total service) and then was told I forfeited my chance to receive the $100 gift card that was offered as per the website because I complained... Never in my life have I felt so disrespected. To top if off they gave us two different sets of account details with no names attached which all seems a little dodgy to me.. Please save yourself the hassle and find another company to use. You can see they have dis activated their Facebook and google reviews and I now know why!”

“OUTRAGEOUS FEES Customers beware: Please do yourself a huge favour and get multiple quotes before you contact Pascoe’s and ensure to read all their reviews so that you can make an informed decision to avoid being ripped off. The biggest mistake we made was to google a ‘Plumber near me’ and unfortunately Pascoe’s plumbing came up at the top. As we were informed by our tenant that their blocked toilet needed urgent attention, we were thankful to be able to get a plumber out within a couple of hours. Unfortunately, as our tenant lives in a unit on the third floor Pascoe’s made us believe that this was possibly going to be a major job as it required specialised equipment for scoping and cleaning of pipes. We ended up putting a $480.00 deposit down after being quoted $960.00. As it turned out, our tenant had given us a false alarm. In fact, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the toilet! Unfortunately, I was unable to cancel the plumber at such short notice. Instead, I apologized to the plumber for the inconvenience, however he suggested to come and test the toilet anyway. We conducted a few tests on the flushing system and removed a water restrictor from the cistern as the plumber felt that this may have reduced the waterflow. Overall, the testing took less than 10 mins of the plumber’s time with no equipment or intervention required… To date, we have been trying to get a response from Pascoe’s to justify their fees of $480.00 as we have not yet received an itemised invoice let alone a receipt for our monies! Pascoe’s have ignored all our emails and messages which we find truly unprofessional. We ended up having to reach out to the actual plumber himself who came out to the unit just to get an idea what a reasonable call out fee should be. He informed us that he charged Pascoe’s a minimal fee mainly to cover his fuel and the little time spent. He also mentioned that Pascoe’s is the most expensive plumber in town and informed us that we were way over charged and should challenge Pascoe’s to give us some form of reimbursement! We are extremely disappointed with Pascoe’s professionalism, customer service and fees, therefore we will never recommend them!”

“Do not recommend. Things like a basic service such as taps require a Salesman to come out and quote a "package" at 3 times the price. Asking to replace a glass shower door requires an entire refit for at least $3000. (I got a shower door fitted for $800) We got suckered in the first time, which we are finally paying off. Oh they will BEG you to write positive reviews for them.”

“I Googled a ‘Plumber near me’ and Pascoe’s Plumbing came up at the top. I needed the job done ASAP and was thankful to be able to get a plumber out within a few hours. Unfortunately, I fell for the sales pitch and signed off on a deal which I was led to believe was ‘major’. Turns out it was a relatively easy job. Only took a couple of hours but cost me $1180. After the fact, I did a ring around to different plumbers, and using the same equipment it turns out the job could have been done for under $400. So I called the company to complain and was told everything is a set price. You know why? They don’t do the work…they sub-contract it and obviously make a massive profit on each job. My huge mistake was my urgency, believing in the advertisements, and not calling around for more quotes. Let it be a lesson!”

“These people are rip-off merchants. They quoted over $3,000 for a replacement continuous flow gas HWS that's available from other companies for around $1,200, including installation. The particular HWS is available from Bunnings for $849. I would advise others to be very wary of any quotes provided by this company.”

“I purchased a property that had a collapsed ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Called Pascoes out who said I needed a full rewire as western power would not turn on the power unless I did so as it was unsafe. I didn’t think twice and believed Pascoes to be truthful and paid the $10k for a full rewire. This took Pascoes 2 days with no new fittings. They even took away a fan in the room with the collapsed ceiling (of which was working) we had to fight tooth and nail to get another one back! Pascoes wanted another $8k for the hot water to be sorted out so I thought I’d get more quotes on this and later found out western power knew nothing about the property and I didn’t actually need a rewire. And a legitimate plumber came and sorted the hot water for less than $800.00 not $8,000 that Pascoes wanted. Wish I had of read the reviews as I’m now out of pocket $10k!”

“I was charged $750 to replace 4 x shark bite connectors and 20 minutes labour. I repeatedly requested an intemised invoice with a cost breakdown. No response from the company. Have now put in a formal complaint for excessive overcharging. Don't ever use Pascoes Gas and water”

“Con Artist! Requested for a free quote to install a power point, than salesman advice I need to change 2 smoke alarm saying its illegal and required by law and and it need to be hard wired. We agreed to Invoice the total $1300 (2x smoke alarm, down light and power point). Surprise suprise the invoice was not itemised. I ask how much was the power point and they say $750. Later they call me back saying they couldn’t do the power point which was the original request. So they will remove the Power point from the original price. Job completed and the charge me $1,100 instead of $550 ($1,300-$750) in total, saying the power point installation is costing $200 and they can only deduct $200. Sneaky!! Stay Away.”

“Quoted to lay 9 metres of pipe and fix a repair $1495 including 4 hours labour . The plumber was here for 50 minutes and decided we didn’t need the water pipe because it was underground !!!!!! Where did they expect it to be - the first guy tried to turn off our water by twisting a retic solenoid this is when I knew I was in trouble !!!! Should have read the reviews as they aren’t responding to my concerns so I’ll share vividly on social media to compensate myself , never again 😂😂”

“Wish we had read their reviews as well before calling out Pascoe electrical. An absolute rip off . Called out to my elderly mums house as she had no power to be told the switchboard needed replacing in the meter box. Totally untrue and very expensive. She is a pensioner and believed the tradesmen. After speaking to a neighbor when the job was completed and paid in full her electrician had a look and we were told that it didn’t need replacing and she was totally ripped off!!! How dare they lie and are still able to trade. Should be ashamed of themselves. Keep complaining and do not use this company!”

“Got a quote from one plumber for $380, but they couldn't come for 3 days. We were desperate and called Pascoe. They charged $1280. We've been ripped off big time. The Pascoe guy told us the plumber who was going to charge $380 could never have done a "professional" job. Speaking to other plumbers since then a quote of $380 is about the going rate for the work we had done.”

They wont give you a quote over your phone they have to come out to your house, which puts the pressure on you to sign right away and not obtain other quotes.”

“Warning that this Company charges fixed price even if they don't do the whole job. Plumber came to check and clean sewerage line because it was blocked. By the time he arrived the blockage was gone but they checked it and did no cleaning as it wasn't required. Cost $1180 fixed price for half an hours work ( ie $2000 per hour). After a number of emails, the company agreed that it would reduce my bill by $320 but only because they had not actually unblocked the drain. This I accepted as a small win. Apparently, this job can take them 2 hours and they take the risk that it could be longer so as you can see this is a much more reasonable rate of $500 per hour (after deducting a call out fee that they don't charge) for fixed price job.”
