“The small job was organised through my real estate agent, when I received a call the only time offered was 7am. Guy rocks up and bangs on the door so very loudly and wakes my young children and startles me out of bed (I have PTSD). The loud door bangs continued and slamming off my screen door everytime he left the house, the last time he followed with a swear word. Absolutely unacceptable whether I’ve got children in the house or not I am a woman and do not deserve to be spoken around like that. The job was completed, I was told the old unit and rubbish was staying which is unprofessional. The “clean up” was disgraceful, I had to vaccum and mop after he’d left. Horrible attitude by electrician. I’ve made a complaint to the realestate also. Do not recommend!”

“Service heroes recently did an excellent job for me on a late call out to sort out our electricity. The electrician was very efficient and friendly. From the time he called to tell me he had arrived to when he had diagnosed the issue, it took only 22 minutes. I was very happy, until I got the invoice for $793.21. This consisted of an after hours call out fee (fair) and 3.5 hours of service including travel (not so fair) given I live in the Northern Beaches and Service Heroes is a local company. It took several emails and a couple of calls but they eventually relented and provided an invoice with a reasonable fee (late call out fee and 2 hours of service including travel). I'm giving two stars as the service itself was great, but the stress and inconvenience of trying to get a fair invoice made the whole experience way more bothersome than it needed to be. Normally I would ask for a quote but this was done through my strata. The cost fell to me since the fault was caused by a faulty appliance in our flat. If you go through service heroes, I recommend you get a quote before they do any work for you (even if it is done through your strata) and make sure you record timings of the job. If I hadn't have had records of the time of arrival and time of diagnosis (a message to family to say what the problem was), I'm not sure whether I would have been listened to at all.”
